John Duffy
You’ll have to forgive me if this sounds a bit awkward. I’m really not comfortable talking about myself. Anyhow, here it goes. I like to think of myself as a hybrid in this business. Part producer, part photojournalist, part writer, part audio technician, part gaffer, etc. Not that I'm a Jack-of-all-trades. But CAMERAONE is a smaller production company, and when it comes to work here, Dan and I are always willing to roll up the sleeves and do what it takes to get it done.
Even though I've been shooting for more than 20 years, I've had the opportunity to produce broadcast programs, corporate videos, commercials as well as field produce segments for network shows. But I really enjoy shooting. Something about lighting, composition and framing really interests me. It is not the most glamorous part of this business, but to me it is the most fun. As co-owner of CAMERAONE, I'd like to extend an invitation to you to become acquainted with us, and how we do business. I think you'll like it.
Dan Roach
Hey, Johns not the only one that hates to describe himself! That being said, let me introduce myself. I’m Dan, and along with John, I have co-owned CAMERAONE since it’s inception back in 1993.
My career in television began waaaay back in 1981. And for those of you in this business that remember, I was one of the lucky guys to have carried around the old BIG blue RCA TK-76 tube camera, remember those? Well, for those of you that don’t, it just means I have been shooting, editing and producing in the field for, well, over 25 years now!
And while ENG and editing have been the focus of my career, I along with John have an extensive background working live television sports productions. From the turns at Daytona, to the links of the British Open as well as the Olympics, we have been behind the camera for many major live television sporting events.
So, what does this all means to you? A company with experience, dedication to our craft, the right equipment of course, but most importantly, a sense of humor!
